Hello My Name Is...
Kayla Russell
Hello, my name is Kayla Russell and I am very excited to be your child's kindergarten teacher! This is my third year at Teague Elementary (and I was even a Teague Tiger when I was younger)!
A Few Facts About Me:
- I got married to my best friend in November 2017! He and I have a very cute 3 year old collie named Baxter.
- I am a VERY proud University of Alabama alumna! (Which may be why I am extremely passionate about SEC Football)
- Crafting is my number one hobby! I enjoy making decals and T Shirts, scrapbooking, sewing, and other various things. I have a craft room that gets a lot of use!
- My family is a big Disney family! We have annual passes to Disney World and go several times a year.
- Reading/Literacy is my biggest passion both in and out of the classroom. I set a personal goal each year to read at least 3 books per month. I have always been a voracious reader and I am dedicated to instilling that in my students, as well.
- A few other random things I love: Dr. Pepper, long walks down every aisle at Target, cute clothes + fun earrings, Friends, going to the movies with my husband, and binging shows on Hulu/Netflix.
