Teague Elementary opened its doors in 1977 with Dorothy Wells as its principal. As the 40th school built in Pasadena ISD, Teague was constructed as an open concept facility serving children in kindergarten through fifth grade. The facility measured 81,000 square feet and cost $1,997,545 to build. At the time of its opening, the school included a media center, staffed with a full-time specialist, along with a cafetorium and a full-time nurse. The school was named in honor of Carroll P. Teague, a long-serving teacher and principal for Pasadena ISD.
In recent years, Teague has experienced a steady growth in enrollment of students and the campus has added six temporary facilities, called portables, on its grounds. In the past five years, the campus has become the second largest elementary school in the district with 720 students.
Achievements:
-Top fundraiser for Komen for 4 years;
-Student Council state and national TEPSA/NASP award winner;
-Top fundraising school for Pennies for Patients;
-Pasadena ISD Elementary Principal of the Year, 2020;
-and Pasadena ISD Elementary Nurse of the year, 2018.
